Is this signing offer worth taking? Enter the fee, miles, pages and time to see what the order really pays per hour, and the lowest fee that meets your target rate. Free, no signup, nothing is saved.
How to check a signing offer: subtract your printing, mileage, shipping and other costs from the offered fee, then divide what's left by every hour the order takes (prep, driving, the appointment, scanbacks and drop-off). That's your real hourly rate. Your lowest acceptable fee is your costs plus your target hourly rate times those hours.

The Signing Agent Payment Toolkit is a payment tracker spreadsheet that shows who owes you what and what's overdue, plus a 4-stage follow-up message kit for signing companies that pay late.
| Printing | pages × sets × cost per page |
| Mileage | round-trip miles × your cost per mile |
| Shipping / drop-off / other | what you actually pay |
| Time | prep + drive + appointment + scanbacks + drop-off |
The example figures pre-filled above, for the arithmetic only. They aren't a typical or recommended fee. A $125 offer, 150 pages printed twice at $0.05 ($15), 30 miles at $0.70 ($21): costs $36, leaving $89. 170 minutes is 2.83 hours, so the order pays $31.41/hour. At a $40/hour target, the lowest acceptable fee is $36 + $40 × (170 ÷ 60) = $149.33.
Signing fees are negotiated between you and each company; we don't publish standard or average fees. More on that in how to set your own signing fee.
The calculator subtracts your printing, mileage, shipping and other costs from the offered fee, then divides what is left by the total minutes you spend on the order (prep, driving, the appointment, scanbacks and drop-off) converted to hours.
It adds your total costs for the order to your target hourly rate multiplied by the hours the order takes. Any offer at or above that figure meets your target.
Use your own vehicle cost per mile, or the IRS standard mileage rate for the year if that is what you use. The calculator uses whatever figure you enter.
